How will you spend this Christmas?

Yesterday I had an awesome time at the VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY organised by Blessings in a Bag.

They're a group of young volunteers who partner with communities, orphanages, schools and homes all across Asia, to help underprivileged kids. You can read more about their work here.

The Very Merry Christmas Party was a free event (free food, music, activities, etc) with lots of opportunities to support kids in need by sponsoring tote-bags; purchasing hand-made products created by women from Myanmar, Philippines and Cambodia; and so on.

The cool people from A Salted Tee were there with their specially-designed t-shirt collection, and the enthusiastic team from PlayMoolah set up a station for kids to try their financial literacy game.

We created a cosy SUPER COOL BOOKS corner for guests to make their own { Foldable Fantasy } minibooks.

And we also contributed some Sherlock Hong gift sets to the pop-up store there, with all earnings going to BIAB's charity projects.

Thanks to the ever-cheerful WorldChangeAgents from BIAB, we were all fed and entertained throughout, heh.

The 'Blessing Bag Packs' from this event will be distributed to local kids through BIAB's LOVE IS LOUD program, which reaches out to kids facing adversity and kids undergoing treatment for cancer and other terminal illnesses.

I made lots of new friends, signed a bunch of books, took photos with young readers (& some older ones too), and learned so much about how to help make a difference in this world. I'll always remember this Christmas party!

You can check out more photos at BIAB's Facebook page. They've got other events planned this week too.

Have a great holiday ahead. Do something helpful. Stay young and brave! :-)

Thanks to Blessings in a Bag for these photos too!
