** Can Sherlock stop the scoundrels?

a Sherlock Hong story by Don Bosco

It was Dr. Woo! But what was he doing here, in this crazy disguise?
The chief thug, the biggest and meanest looking one among the three, walked to the basket and reached in.
He pulled out a wooden box. It was about a foot long, with gold trimmings along its edges.
Even from where I was, across the street, I could see the fancy engraving of a dragon on the front panel.
It suddenly dawned on me. This wooden box looked exactly like the sketch on the yellow notice outside the mansion.
It contained the Scroll of Greatness!
Dr. Woo lost his temper. He gave the chief thug a hard smack.
"You fool!" Dr. Woo said, so loudly that I could hear every word. "Put it away. If
anything goes wrong, your head will roll!"
The chief thug looked insulted. He put the wooden box back into the basket. Then he barked an order. The other two thugs obediently picked up the basket and carried it towards the boats. They looked terrified, as if they were afraid that Dr. Woo would smack them too.
I was desperate to stop them and get the Scroll back. It was the one way I could clear my name.
The future belongs to the young and brave! I jumped on the nearest crate and pointed at Dr. Woo.
"I know what you're up to, you horrible thief!" I yelled.
I swallowed hard and tried to sound brave, even though my knees were shaking and it felt like I had a lump in my throat.
"Return the Scroll, or you'll regret it!"
