Describe your style
Seeks to inspire and change

How did you get started?
I am a collector of children's picture books and am big on those that say such impactful messages in so few words and illustrations.

Where do you get story ideas?
Mostly from my students with learning difficulties, who experienced much more facets of life than I have had.

Pick one book of yours that kids should read
Read "Murphy, See How You Shine!" to be reminded that they have something so unique within themselves which they can offer to this world, to make it a better place.

Tip for parents, how to help kids enjoy reading
Weave in songs (relating to the story) to up the mood, excitement and level of bonding!

Tip for aspiring kidlit writers
Read the human interest stories in The Straits Times! So much fodder for inspiration. :)

Your big wish for kidlit publishing next year (2020)?
Books that talk about the need for checks and balances in every society -- such important yet challenging areas to bring out in kidlit.
