How did you get started?
I have always dreamed about becoming an author.
Where do you get story ideas?
I get inspiration from respecting my imagination and observing people.
Pick one book of yours that kids should read
Jade's Quest for Her Heritage. I hope young readers will read this book because it has gorgeous art and an exciting plot. It is a story about friendship and the courage to change what is wrong with the world. It also celebrates our Singapore culture.
Tip for parents, how to help kids enjoy reading
Start young. Read to them; then read with them; then read beside them. Hide the mobile phone.
Tip for aspiring kidlit writers
Honour your imagination. Listen when it talks.
