FROM RACHELYN:

Hi! I am Rachelyn and I am an early childhood teacher by day and picture book author by night. This is my second picture book that I am self-publishing. For me, writing picture books combines a few of my passions such as creative writing, drama and working with young children.

I wrote my second picture book to inspire children to stay true to their identities. Curly is a strong, confident and fearless little girl who looks different from the other little girls who attend school. The whispers of how Curly should change herself starts. Soon enough, Curly believes the whispers and falls into the trap of wanting to change herself to fit in. Luckily, a teacher helps her to realise that she was made to stand out.

This story is based on my personal experience of growing up with short hair which I keep till date!
